The material cost is substantial. A full four-level pyramid requires 164 mineral blocks total. Using Iron Blocks (the cheapest option), this means 1,476 Iron Ingots, requiring 1,476 Iron Ore to smelt. Many players build their first beacon with just one level and gradually expand the pyramid over time as they accumulate more resources.
